First, make sure your child is standing up straight with their weight evenly distributed on both feet. This helps ensure that their feet are in a natural position for accurate measurements.
Next, take a measurement of the length of their foot from heel to the longest toe. Use a ruler or measuring tape for precise results. Remember to measure both feet as they may vary slightly in size.
